Recently, in the Anhui Provincial Key Laboratory of Cold-Proof Clothing Fibers and Products, Liu Yuanyuan, a researcher from Jixiang Sanbao High-Tech Textile Co., Ltd., and her colleagues conducted tensile and other performance tests on a new type of textile material. The new material will be used to make special warm clothing for firefighters in high-altitude and cold areas.

"This material has the triple functions of high flame retardancy, high warmth retention and heat insulation. Through a large amount of data comparison and experimental analysis, the current material performance has met the requirements and mass production can be carried out after the pilot test is completed." Liu Yuanyuan said that from the "laboratory" to the "production line", this industry-leading innovative achievement is about to be successfully transformed.

Jixiang Sanbao Hi-Tech Textile was originally a traditional enterprise that solely engaged in the production and sales of household textiles such as "four-piece sets". As competition in the textile industry became increasingly fierce, the company found it difficult to expand its sales and its development was once in trouble.

How to break through the difficulties? Climb up the ladder, upgrade with wisdom, and introduce scientific and technological resources from universities and research institutes to give enterprises new vitality.

In 2017, with the help of the local government, Jixiang Sanbao Hi-Tech Textile successfully "joined hands" with Academician Yu Jianyong, a professor at Donghua University and the person in charge of the national key discipline of textile science and engineering, to establish an academician workstation and form a research and development team led by the academician.

Promote the transformation of more scientific and technological achievements

Relying on the development foundation of Jixiang Sanbao High-tech Textile, in January last year, the Anhui Provincial Jointly Built Key Discipline Laboratory of Cold-proof Clothing Fibers and Products with a total investment of 12 million yuan was established in Jixiang Sanbao High-tech Textile. The laboratory currently has 40 R&D personnel and has built a pilot production line for high-thermal sound insulation materials with imitation goose down structure, and a pilot production line for heat-generating fibers and waterproof and breathable fiber materials.

"The laboratory is committed to the research and development and continuous production of highly cold-resistant fiber fabrics and waterproof and breathable fabrics composite production of fabrics and finished products, and high-performance, lightweight, cold-resistant and environmentally friendly fiber fabrics." Liu Yuanyuan introduced that they strive to jointly tackle technical problems such as the contradiction between the breathability and warmth retention of fiber materials, and the difficulty in balancing the breathability and high hydrophobicity of fiber materials before the end of 2025, apply for 5 to 6 invention patents, add 2 to 3 new products each year, and the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements will directly increase the output value by more than 50 million yuan.

Jixiang Sanbao Hi-Tech Textiles has continued to move into the "high-tech" field on the basis of doing a good job in the traditional "four-piece suit". At present, the company has eight production bases, producing more than 100 products such as yarn, printed fabrics, home textile "four-piece suits", quilts, clothing, masks, functional high-warmth materials, etc. The company has reached cooperation with many well-known domestic companies, with an annual output value of more than 300 million yuan.
